This is my website. My name is Keito.
Hi, I’m Keito. I’m from Japan. I came to TRU to study English and Canadian culture. In Japan, I mainly study Japanese culture. In TRU, in addition to those classes, we have many activities like a gold panning trip, a hockey game, and so on.
The reason why I decided to study abroad is to try something new. When I was in Japan, I understood myself that I’m so shy and not good at speaking in front of lots of people. To overcome my weak point, I’ve decided to study abroad. In Japan, including me, people are so shy and not eager to present their opinion. I knew that foreigners are not like this, so studying abroad was my dream for a long time.
During my stay in Kamloops, I tried doing everything I can. For example, I experienced radio personality as a field work program. For 2 months, every Wednesday and Thursday I became a radio personality. To become a radio personality meant I have to learn numerous words and pronunciations in English. It was really challenging for me, but I didn’t want to regret after coming back to Japan, so I decided to apply to it. I can say I did my best in TRU.
